OMNI has been retained by the Catholic Education Foundation in their search for a new Executive Director.  This role is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the Catholic Education Foundation's mission, staff and Board of Directors.

 

With the belief that all children who seek a Catholic education should be given the opportunity, the Catholic Education Foundation provides children in need with scholarships to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The Foundation has awarded nearly $15 million in scholarships by investing more than $1.3 million back into Catholic education each year.

Responsibilities

This position reports to a highly committed Board of Directors and serves as an integral part of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Key accountabilities include:

  • Serve as spokesperson of the Foundation to increase the organization's visibility within the community and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders.
  • Take the leadership role in prospecting for new donors, further developing current ones, and solicit gifts through cultivating relationship with key funders throughout Kansas City.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Archdiocese, as well as various committees maximizing their fundraising efforts and activities.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a high performing team of dedicated professionals.
  • Develop key committees, budgets, key performance metrics, and departmental/organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in a leadership position; both nonprofit and corporate executives will be considered for this role with a preference for someone who has led in both environments.
  • Highly effective organizational management and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a high performance staff and Board of Directors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders, key partners and families within the community.
  • Strong financial management skills with the ability to leverage relationships to benefit the financial and mission goals of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field required. Intuitive, enthusiastic, empathetic, mission-driven, positive attitude and visionary leadership style. Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
