OMNI has been retained in the search and selection for a Human Resources Director. This newly created role reports to a highly-respected COO and joins a dynamic team of professionals. Given the organization’s continued growth, we seek a strong executive with a confident and consultative business mindset. Ideally suited for an energetic relationship builder who builds rapport and drives results. We seek a “roll up your sleeves” impact player who can shape talent, enhance team and operational performance and strengthen collaboration while ensuring business objectives are met and/or exceeded.

The Human Resources Director will provide human resources leadership, direction, coaching and support company-wide with a strong emphasis on managing the Bank’s talent management program as a company-wide process that address issues such as professional development, employee engagement, workforce development, employee recruitment/retention, organizational design and change management.This role will directly affect the organization’s success through the proactive development and implementation of best practices, services, policies and programs in human resources management while ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, local laws relating to human resource administrative matters. Additionally, this person will:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Bank’s leadership team; anticipate and identify organizational needs and gaps, and offer insights and solutions. Build credibility and relationships throughout every level of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Partners, Directors and managers to determine training needs and organizational approach to achieve strategic goals in the development of employees at all levels.
  • Develop, manage and effectively deploy Human Resources’ annual budget and organizational resources; develop and advocate for investments that will build a strong, sustainable organization.
  • Partner with Wellbeing Champion and Employee Relations Manager to identify and administer measurements to monitor overall organizational and team health; proactively develop strategies to foster positive, effective and efficient work environment.
  • Lead performance achievement and performance measurement programs and philosophies; define all training programs and utilize both internal and external resources to meet objectives.
  • Serve as critical management team member in maintaining the Bank’s brand as a stimulating, rewarding, and innovative place to make a career while positively impacting the customers and businesses served.
  • Stay current on developments in human resources to serve as subject matter expert regarding critical people and compliance issues, employee engagement and culture.
  • Ensure the Human Resources team delivers with excellence and in compliance with federal and locally-relevant laws, policies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field. Graduate degree or professional certification (SPHR) in human resources strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in progressive Human Resources leadership, building and managing a high performing team; financial service industry experience highly preferred.  Experience working with a distributed work force is also a must; CrossFirst Bank currently operates in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
  • Well-versed on emerging talent management and development approaches. Demonstrated success in hiring to develop strong individuals and teams. 
  • Specialized training in talent management, employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations and professional development preferred.
  • Broad foundation in Human Resources practices experience within results-oriented organization recognized as employer of choice; especially a culture of high growth and performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills. Effectively, candidly and sensitively ‘speak the truth’
  • Can quickly establish credibility and build rapport to be recognized as a leader and expert to the internal customer of the Bank.
  • Influential and collaborative communication style. Forward thinker and business savvy to represent this critical position and business unit.
  • Self-starter, with a bias for action and results. Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success as a strong contributor to an executive management team, ability to coach for performance across levels.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to CrossFirst Bank core values
  • Willingness to undertake business travel within the CrossFirst footprint.
  • Technology savvy; familiarity with various human resources platforms strongly preferred.
