OMNI serves as the HR business partner for Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri. We're assisting with their search for a Manager, Community Partnerships to lead the recruitment, retention and development of the Community Partnership Program for Girl Scouts across the Council. This role is ideally suited for a relationship-oriented, results-focused individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and mission driven environment.

 

GSKSMO supports 23,000 girl members and 9,000 adult volunteers in its 47-county jurisdiction surrounding the Greater Kansas City, St. Joseph and Topeka areas.  Through activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities for fun and friendship, while fostering development of leadership skills and self-esteem. 

 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the GSLE Program & Partnerships, this role is responsible for offering diverse opportunities across all regions, managing large scale community partnership events and working closely with the marketing and development teams.

  • Recruit community partners to offer innovative recreational and educational programs in all areas including, but not limited to, arts and culture, STEM, healthy living, sports and service and civic duties.
  • Work closely with regional staff to create programming and partnerships to meet the needs of all Girl Scouts and volunteers throughout the Council's 47-county footprint.
  • Manage large scale, council-wide programming, including maintaining scope, budget, action items and timeline.
  • Assess girl's needs and interests and leverage community resources to help meet those needs.
  • Promote and support national core programs of GSUSA; identify and execute strategies for local delivery of national program for all levels of participation for girls ages 5-17.
  • Evaluate activities for appropriateness, attainment of objectives, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop annual goals, objectives and budget within the framework of council goals and budget constraints; monitor, report on progress and evaluate goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate volunteers to develop and expand program activities for girls in the urban, suburban and rural parts of the council.
  • Monitor and communicate policies, procedures and standards for the program.
  • Encourage others to participate as active team members in an effort to support the work of Girl Scouts.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated three to four years' experience in education, youth programming or volunteer management.
  • Strong relationship management skills and proven ability to create sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and individuals.
  • Excellence in organizational management and project management with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within the 47-county footprint of the Council.
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed leadership style.
