OMNI has been retained in the search and selection for the Director of Human Resources reporting to the President/CEO.  With the support of the CEO, this executive leadership role will provide expert support and collaborate with leaders and managers to deliver on key People priorities.

 

Responsibilities

The primary focus of this critical role will be the execution of all People practices, processes, and tools for the Superior Bowen family of companies (Superior Bowen Asphalt, Inspired Homes, CMTG and Research to Roads.)  Responsibilities include developing policy, directing and coordinating human resources activities, including employment, recruiting, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.  Additionally, this individual will oversee:

  • Contribute to the identification of People priorities, and ensure tactics to execute those priorities are aligned with the Leadership teams.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all activities of the department; participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Develop and administer human resources policies, plans, and procedures related to benefits administration, hiring/termination process, compensation program, EEO compliance and talent acquisition.
  • Support managers and leadership with performance management training, talent assessment and compensation decisions.
  • Work with Leaders to help ensure each group’s People strategies are consistent with current and future needs of the businesses and brands and comply with applicable employment and labor laws.
  • Keep employee relations top-of-mind with managers and Leaders and provide coaching and counsel in effectively executing appropriate employee engagement programs, activities, and tools.
  • Ensure a clear understanding among key stakeholders (managers and Leaders) about changes in the System.
  • Participate and ensure a clear understanding among key stakeholders with development and execution of change plans and deployment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the human resources field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Human resources management experience, including broad knowledge of benefits, labor relations, compensation.
  • Experience with MS Office and electronic employee management software (ex. BirdDogHR).
  • Annual workforce planning experience.
  • Safety, Human Resources, and other policies and procedure experience.
  • Applied knowledge of formal and informal organizational structure to direct programs and achieve organizational goals.
