    OMNI has been retained by Woodside Health & Tennis Club, in their search for a Director of Group Fitness.  Woodside offers unrivaled amenities for health, fitness and wellness and a social atmosphere. Everything from intense workout classes to stress relief, nutrition advice to physical medicine, one-on-one sessions to social hour— it’s all in one place.


    Under the general direction of the Managing Director, the Director of Group Fitness has oversight responsibility and directs all activities including class and program coordination including but not limited to the following formats: conditioning, strength, mat Pilates, indoor cycling, flexibility, yoga and aquatics, as well as Woodside branded classes, boot camps, training camps and related (future) boutique concepts. Responsible for strategy development & execution and related aspects of the Group Fitness department through management of the department.



    • Develops an annual strategic group fitness plan that outlines key strategic areas of focus and objectives for the Group Fitness department
    • Develops Group Fitness program goals (number and type of classes, targeted populations, class attendance metrics, and special events) and implements plans to achieve the determined goals
    • Creates and manages aspects of Woodside boot camps, training camps, branded classes and boutique concept
    • Maximize the Club’s group fitness programs and facilities to reduce attrition and attract new members
    • Researches new trends in group fitness, nationally & locally and creates, designs and markets special programs and events as mutually agreed upon with Managing Director; remains current on local competitors’ offerings, programs, pricing, etc.
    • Develops an annual budget for the department and manages budgeted revenue, expenses and net profit
    • Oversees the group fitness instructors/teachers including but not limited to: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and terminating
    • Manages instructor compensation/advancement plans and evaluate/review every group fitness instructor at minimum once per year



    • Associate's degree related to health or fitness field (i.e. exercise science, kinesiology, physical education)
    • 2-5 years' instructing experience
    • National fitness certifications/licenses
    • CPR/AED certification



    • Bachelor's degree
    • Business/management experience
    • 5-8 years' instructing experience
