    OMNI HRM has been retained by Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU) in the selection of an Executive Assistant. KCU is a community of professionals committed to excellence in the education of highly qualified students in osteopathic medicine, the biosciences, bioethics and the health professions.


    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operations Officer, the Executive Assistant role is responsible for effectively promoting and supporting the mission of KCU by providing expert administrative and project management support to the CFO/COO and Operations/Finance team. 


    • Facilitates the efficient utilization of the Executive’s time through development and coordination of a complex calendar of appointments, meetings, attendance at University and community functions and business travel.
    • Promotes a positive image of the University by greeting and receiving visitors as well as answering or directing inquiries.
    • Serves as a liaison between the Executive, his team, other University leaders and members of the Board of Trustees.
    • Supports Board of Trustee Committee Meetings through materials preparation and distribution, taking minutes, obtaining signatures and managing schedules and communications.
    • Assists the Executive and his team with creation of reports and communications both for internal and external audiences.  Ensuring accuracy, excellence and professionalism in communication and presentation.
    • Facilitates efficient and cost-effective business travel for the department by making travel arrangements and preparing associated expense reports as needed.
    • Prepares correspondence for distribution or approval and signature, checking the documents for completeness and accuracy.
    • Assist in the administration of the University’s contract management system
    • Assist in the administration of the University’s insurance policies
    • Assist in administration of University’s record retention policy
    • Completes special projects for the Executive and Operations/Finance team as needed.
    • Contributes to the overall success of the University by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned, 
    • Safeguards confidentiality by exercising discretion in communicating information to faculty, students, staff and the public served by the University and in handling administrative records, files, and similar confidential items.


    • College degree preferred.
    • Experience providing support to financial executive preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and success developing and communicating professional correspondence.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft office, particularly MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Excel
    • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow through.
