    Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences has an opportunity for an Assistant Dean of Clinical Education to join their team in Joplin, MO.     OMNI has been retained by Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences to assist in identifying candidates for this amazing Assistant Dean of Clinical Education opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    The Assistant Dean of Clinical Education will work in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Clinical Education and the Clinical Education Director to develop rotation and clerkship sites for KCU and KCU Joplin students
    • Responsible for Clerkship site match process
    • Update and review Clerkship guidelines
    • Review and update Frequently Asked Questions for Clinical Education
    • Conduct site visits with students
    • Participate in site visits with core site administrators, DME/RAD faculty
    • Develop and maintain affiliate site relationships
    • Responsible for preceptor orientation and information
    • Conduct “End of Clerkship” evaluation by student and preceptor
    • Create and Maintain Affiliation agreements
    • Develop Clerkship honors track
    • Meet COCA requirements for Clinical Education
    • Participate in Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)/ Match Advising
    • Participate administratively with Residency Match
    • Work with Associate Dean and Year 3 Phase Director on multiple aspects of clerkship curriculum
    • Participates on various University committees
    • Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
    • Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization

    Qualifications

    • DO degree
    • Previous professional experience in medical education preferred
    • Managerial experience in higher education preferred
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
