    OMNI has been engaged by BALDWIN to assist in their national search for a Chief Financial Officer, who will serve as an instrumental executive in the continued growth and development of this brand. BALDWIN is an award winning, high end distinctive manufacturer and retailer/wholesaler of fine apparel who is positioning itself for major growth both in its wholesale and retail business. This role will be a key catalyst supported by a strong and long tenured staff, a prominent Kansas City-based private equity firm and the LA based President, Creative & Design teams.


    This position is ideal for a proven high impact apparel executive who possesses the necessary financial acumen and the ability to impact and influence all operations and financial aspects of the business, including production, distribution, fulfillment, business process and reporting, risk management, information systems, and human resources.  


    The selected CFO will be based in the Kansas City metropolitan area, ranked #15 on Bloomberg’s best cities list due to its thriving economy, bigger city amenities and outstanding quality of life. Compensation and relocation package will be competitive to attract top industry talent.  





    The Chief Financial Officer will provide leadership, direction, and business decision support regarding the financial and administrative functions for the organization and serve as a key member of Baldwin’s executive committee. The CFO will lead all financial administration, business analytics, planning, and budgeting with support from a well-respected and tenured staff.  


    • Enhance and improve current financial and administrative operations by evaluating all processes and procedures within each department. In conjunction with Managing Director and President, focus on strategic growth and lean practices to inspire positive change and improvement.
    • Develop a culture of operational and financial excellence by implementing customer-centric strategies that are cost-efficient and profitable. Improvements and impacts need to be made while respecting and preserving the core values and beliefs of the company.
    • Provide financial advice and performance to the President and private investors on ongoing basis; as well as market and business data to translate insights into profitable solutions.
    • Build relationships and strategic partnerships internal and external to the organization.
    • Solve problems, develop solutions, and make critical decisions supported by substantial analysis and critical data-based decision making.
    • Enhance and develop a high performing and innovative team by developing existing talent, identifying gaps and successfully recruiting high-performing individuals to compliment the team.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA/CPA or related credential and education strongly preferred. Well versed in cost accounting practices.
    • Demonstrated success as progressive and senior financial executive within a manufacturing /wholesale/retail consumer product company is required. Apparel industry is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of financial and accounting systems, inventory management, distribution, and related processes.
    • Ability to provide leadership and establish commitment to the development and implementation of financial strategies, plans, policies and business initiatives within a high growth environment.
    • Proven experience working with private investor and/or venture backed companies.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a company through periods of formation, organization, opportunity, and rapid growth.
    • Proven track record of implementing processes to ensure internal and external customer needs are met through a cost-effective manufacturing and distribution network.
    • Possesses unquestionable professional integrity and a candid, honest style which evokes credibility and inspires confidence.
    • Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth organization where resourcefulness is critical.
    • Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships and strategic partnerships both internally and externally.
