    The Donor Funding Analyst for Jewish Family Services (JFS) is responsible for managing the Development Department's CRM data system (Raiser's Edge NXT), analytics, and business processes; developing dynamic reports and providing research that support development funding goals; developing best practices to optimize efficiencies; She/he will work closely with the Director of Marketing and agency team related to project management of the donor stewardship and annual appeal programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage Development Department's CRM data system (Raiser's Edge NXT) ensuring systems in place to accurately maintain records, optimize system tools, and access donor demographic data.
    • Develop and implement data oversight functions that ensure that a high standard of “clean” data is being maintained.
    • Enter daily gifts, ensuring correct fund coding, capturing donor intent and linking/updating information.
    • Prepare and process receipts and donor acknowledgement letters.
    • Manage and analyze prospect/donor/gift data, presenting it in a variety of formats to respond to the needs of the development and/or finance departments.
    • Provide weekly financial updates and proposal management reports.
    • Implement donor segmentation by donor preference and appeal. Prepare data for use by mail house and/or in-house communication channels.
    • Provide leadership in donor research and qualification; tabulate research results and provide guidance to development team focus on most qualified prospects.
    • Develops and maintains department business processes and standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals including Raiser’s Edge NXT policies and procedures.
    • Communicates with external and internal stakeholders over the phone and in person to support development program and facilitate contributions to the agency.
    • Complete and ensure accuracy of monthly reconciliation with the finance department.
    • Foster relationships with other departments to build a cooperative and effective program and promote a culture of philanthropy.
    • Manage projects related to OnlineExpress including event registrations, web forms, and other giving forms (with graphic support from the Marketing Team).
    • Work with management staff to manage monthly metrics system.
    • Prepare mailing lists and reports for marketing appeals.
    • Work with the JFS client database to analyze data for grants.
    • Manage the JFS grant tracking in Raiser’s Edge NXT.
    • Act as the point person for other staff members working on Raiser’s Edge NXT.

     

    Qualifications

    • Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT or comparable nonprofit fundraising software is required.
    • 3+ years related experience strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience is preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of technical computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including ability to utilize technology for research.
    • Knowledge of Crystal Reports and ability to utilize and build Crystal Reports desired.
    • Data mining and analysis skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret reports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with emphasis on building relationships.
    • Record keeping, filing methods and records management techniques.
    • Ability to work with and train volunteers as needed to meet goals.
    • Commitment to maintain confidentiality of information, records and materials.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external constituents.
