    OMNI has been retained by United Way of Greater Kansas City in their search for a Senior Vice President, Workplace Giving. UWGKC serves as a non-profit, focused on bettering the communities of Kansas City by providing or allocating social services focused on health, education and financial stability.


    This role will oversee the workplace giving channel, creating and reinforcing donor connections, retention, and engagement. Working in close association with the Chief Marketing & Philanthropy Officer, the Senior Vice President will provide leadership development and the tools necessary for the Philanthropy team to meet the overall objectives of the organization.




    • Plan, monitor and report out all workplace giving activity and revenue, utilizing and mobilizing needed resources.
    • Work to increase donation revenue by implementing growth strategies to achieve revenue metrics.
    • Oversee relationship management and segment progress reviews within workplace giving.
    • Manage a portfolio of year-round relationships, with one or more of those accounts in the top 25 workplace partner companies.
    • Be a steward of the donor journey, educating and motivating the community, to understand key trigger points and to retain donor commitment.
    • Partner with UWGKC’s Community Impact team to identify and develop opportunities to align donor interests with UWGKC impact priorities.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the entire Philanthropy team concerning overall best practices in workplace giving.
    • Work with the Vice President, Data & Insights to seek out and acquire information on the changing attitudes and actions of donors in the workplace, including mindset shifts, differences in generational giving and changes in national business.
    • Lead the efforts to cultivate a meaningful and productive relationship between UWGKC and Employee Campaign Managers at workplace giving companies.
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight of meaningful volunteer engagement experiences within workplace giving.



    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
    • Focus in business, philanthropic studies, public administration, account management, marketing or related fields.
    • 10+ years of business or nonprofit administrative experience
    • 7+ years of proven success supervising and leading a high-performing account management, sales or fund-raising team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A strong reputation for integrity and professionalism and a drive to excel.
