    Altasciences Clinical Research, encompassing Algorithme Pharma, Vince and Associates Clinical Research and Algorithme Pharma USA, is one of the largest early phase clinical research organizations (CROs) in North America. As a leading, full-service CRO, we have extensive expertise in the execution of a wide range of Phase I/II clinical studies, especially complex trials in healthy normal volunteers and patient populations.


    Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a key strategic role in providing effective solutions to Human Resources issues. While acting in a lead capacity, provides consultation to individual managers or employees in areas including: talent management, performance management, leadership and employee development, talent acquisition, organizational change, and employee relations. The HR Business Partner is responsible for proactively supporting all aspects of strategic and tactical HR support. This includes providing strategic and operational HR advice, coaching, development and support to the functional businesses; acting as the single point of contact for the leaders; and serving as a point of contact for all people related issues.




    • Partner with leaders to deliver HR services such as workforce planning, organizational design and talent management.
    • Coach and provide guidance to managers with respect to employee relations. Within assigned client groups, ensure the alignment of HR strategies to support the achievement of business priorities.
    • Plan, coordinate and evaluate the execution of HR strategies and solutions within the assigned client groups.
    • Support the implementation of HR programs and processes such as performance and compensation management, talent reviews, recruitment and onboarding, health and safety, and employee development.
    • Guide managers in assigned client groups on the governance and effective application of employment laws, HR policies, procedures and programs.
    • Partner with HR subject matter experts in compensation and benefits, training and talent acquisition to develop and deliver effective HR solutions designed to meet the business challenges and priorities of the organization.
    • Work with management and employees to ensure an engaged workforce and retain talent.
    • Analyze metrics to provide insight into trends and propose appropriate interventions to achieve business goals and increase employee engagement, development and retention.
    • Act as a change agent for best practices in the delivery of human resources solutions.
    • Partner with HR counterparts located in US sites to ensure alignment of HR services across functions and countries.
    • Deliver support and expertise in the areas of Affirmative Action and OFCCP compliance in accordance with policies and best practices.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or related field
    • 7+ years’ experience in a Human Resource Business Partner or Generalist role
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure meeting demands and deadlines from multiple stakeholders.  
    • Mature and proactive with strong customer service and community relations skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and proficiency with standard human resources policies and processes, as well as applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards for best human resources practices.
    • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and various other recruiting platforms and proven track record of building relationships, sourcing candidates and filling positions timely.
    • Highly effective interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to influence and build relationships externally and at every level of the organization.
    • Experience generating and presenting HRIS reports, annual AAP reports and general HR analytics.
    • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications and HR-related systems
    • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred (not required)
