Today, Friend Family Health Center provides comprehensive primary and behavioral health care services to over 40,000 patients annually through 7 care sites with additional expansion in 2018.     Friend Family Health Center seeks an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This individual will have overall accountability for integrating HR leadership in both Friend Family Health Center practice locations and HRDI behavioral health care practices, as well as creating shared culture between the two organizations.




    • Provide leadership on a strategic and transactional level across all human resources core functions- including benefits, compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, professional development, and employee relations.
    • Foster strategic collaborations and build partnerships with key stakeholders in support of Friend Family Health Center’s (FFHC) mission and vision.
    • As a member of the Executive Team, the CHRO provides strategic and innovative advice for the CEO and other senior leaders to support short and long-term business objectives and to position FFHC as an employer of choice.
    • Examine and re-engineer HR operations and procedures, formulate policy, develop and implement new strategies as needed.
    • Analyze and assess training and development needs
    • Create common policies and best practices, interpret business and operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions.
    • Lead the implementation of a human capital strategic plan to ensure the right people are in the right role and receive feedback to be successful in that role, ensuring the development of staff and managers throughout FFHC.
    • Ensure all staff maintain a patient-centric focus as well as solutions-oriented approach.
    • Serve as an essential business partner to the executive team by ensuring a strong connection between the Friend Family Health Center, HRDI, primary care, administration and shared services.
    • Align strategic direction and culture to support the business strategy.


    • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Healthcare or Service industry experience is a plus.
    • Minimum 10 years experience as a senior HR leader- including expertise with both strategy and operations, as well as supervisory experience.
    • The Chief Human Resources Officer should exemplify strong interpersonal and communication skills; experienced in organizational development, developing a cohesive organizational culture across multiple locations.
    • Experience in budget preparation and fiscal management, and an understanding of information systems used in human resources applications.
    • Skill in design, implementation and evaluation of performance management systems and compensation plan.
    • Experience developing high performing, patient-centric teams preferred, and must have an ability to thrive in a complex organizational culture.
    • Demonstrate experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, retention, employment branding, communication and change management leadership.
    • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
