    OMNI is honored to have been engaged by Baldwin, to assist in their national search for a VP, Retail & Customer Relationships.  This role will be based ideally in Los Angeles, California.

     

    The VP, Retail & Customer Relationships will serve as an instrumental executive in the continued growth and development of the Baldwin brand. Baldwin is a high-end distinctive manufacturer and retailer/wholesaler of fine apparel who is positioning itself for major growth both in its wholesale and retail business by hiring a dynamic and proven team who can usher the company into the next generation of success. The incumbent will be a key catalyst supported by a prominent, Kansas City-based family office and LA based President, Creative & Design teams. The award-winning Baldwin brand is powered by the authenticity, dedication and care of its people.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the company’s strategic direction including market expansion and overall performance management.
    • Ensure retail channels meet or exceed all financial &operational targets, sales, customer service metrics and general expectations to increase and achieve sales, customer frequency and related goals.
    • Through creative management and direction of all retail activities, effect and ensure customer service and retail experience become a competitive differentiator in all retail channels.
    • Develop a culture of operational and financial excellence by implementing customer-centric strategies that are profitable. Impacts need to be made while respecting and preserving the core values and beliefs of the company.
    • Build relationships and strategic partnerships internal and external to the organization.
    • Foster the development of a high preforming team. Recruit, develop and train talent to meet current and future needs, affecting a favorable reputation as a premier employer. 
    • Oversee and ensure compliance with all established company policies and standards. Develop and update such standards and policies as appropriate.
    • Effect and sustain the favorable reputation of the company within the community through local engagement in events, and general goodwill within and among customer base.
    • Design, develop, and implement operational programs, sales programs, and related processes activities- providing ongoing guidance and coaching to unit managers and Baldwin staff.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail or Marketing highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success serving as a retail sales/operations leader within an organization of similar size, scope, and complexity. 
    • Must offer demonstrated experience with site selection, store development and new store openings.
    • Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships with discerning clientele both in person and virtually (digitally). 
    • Possesses unquestionable professional integrity and a candid, honest style which evokes credibility and inspires confidence.
    • Very strong interpersonal communication skills. Must have executive level written and verbal communications skills, relationship building skills, and presentation skills.
    • Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth organization where resourcefulness is critical.
    • Must be able to travel up to 25/30%.
