    OMNI is honored to be retained by Jewish Family Services in their search for a Director of Mental Health Services. Jewish Family Services (JFS) supports and strengthens lives throughout Greater Kansas City. They provide essential human services for people facing challenges in everyday life or times of crisis — regardless of faith, age, culture or lifestyle.

     

    The Director of Mental Health Services is a full-time position providing clinical directorship of the organization’s mental health programs. The position combines program directorship (50%) with an outpatient caseload (50%). The ideal candidate has demonstrated proficiency both as a clinician and a leader.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and oversight to the range of JFS mental health programs including outpatient counseling, mental health coalition, school-based prevention, and community education services
    • Supervise Clinical Manager, Mental Health Coalition Coordinator, and Director of Family Life Education
    • Oversee quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of mental health programs
    • Expand our mental health services by fully accessing available funding sources, growing strategic partnerships, and enhancing our billing capabilities
    • Lead and expand the scope and role of JFS-led Greater Kansas City Mental Health Coalition
    • Facilitate effective relationships with other JFS program directors to integrate and coordinate services for greater impact
    • Participate as a member of the agency management team
    • Maintain an outpatient psychotherapy caseload equivalent to 50% of work hours

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or equivalent
    • Demonstrated innovative behavioral health program management skill and experience (4 or more years preferred)
    • Effective and capable as a clinician
    • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and computer skills
