    OMNI is honored to be retained by Douglas County CASA in their search for an exceptional executive to lead the organization as Executive Director. This outstanding opportunity is available due to the retirement of the highly respected incumbent. 


    The CASA concept is based on the belief that every child has the right to a safe, permanent home. Douglas County CASA has been providing legal advocacy services for abused and neglected children and youth in Douglas County, Kansas since 1991. The program recruits, trains and supports citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms to help them through this difficult period in their lives.


    The position reports directly to an energized and committed Board of Directors. Key accountabilities for this role include the following:


    • Serve as the spokesperson of Douglas County CASA; working diligently to publicize the organization and its mission through increased visibility, funding, and community engagement with the support of a strong Board, seasoned staff, and  dedicated volunteers.
    • Lead future growth of the organization by developing new financial resources to serve children waiting for a CASA assignment
    • Manage the financial and operational health of the organization by ensuring that funds are properly allocated to reflect present needs and future potential.
    • Active engagement with the staff on the delivery of all services and programs, ensuring all compliance measures and best practices are followed.
    • Oversee the implementation of personnel training and development to maintain an environment that fosters and retains top talent, including staff and volunteers.


    • Demonstrated success in a leadership role within an organization of comparable size, scope, and complexity. Both non-profit and corporate executives will be considered.
    • Proven success with fundraising efforts, advocacy and awareness, and building partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, funding sources, volunteers, and donors both public and private.  
    • Strong financial acumen & demonstrated success managing general business management functions including operations, systems, accounting functions, reporting, and related functional areas.  
    • Demonstrated success developing and managing a high performing management team, as well as align volunteers, staff, and a Board of Directors.
    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Mission driven professional with previous knowledge of child welfare system a plus.
