OMNI Human Resource Management provides a variety of human resources expertise (consulting, search and outsourcing) to client organizations throughout Kansas City.     We seek a Benefits Consultant to function as OMNI’s resident subject matter expect on employee benefits services, products, tools, systems and processes. In addition to serving clients as assigned, serve as an internal resource coach, trainer and mentor for OMNI staff and consultants on employee benefits policy, compliance and regulation. This is a part-time role and will fluctuate between 10-20 hours of consulting per week. 

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure flawless delivery of benefit consulting services and support to OMNI outsourcing clients.
    • Effect the impact and effectiveness of OMNI staff and consultants through coaching and training on employment benefits programs, policies and guidelines.
    • Provide expert advice and counsel on matters related to employee benefits, benefit administration and services, leave management, systems, tools, & related functions.
    • Manage and ensure all employee benefits services functions, including external vendors and third party service providers, operate at an acceptable level of competency, compliance, productivity, and client service.
    • Ensure employee benefits services, practices, processes, and solutions conform to all local, state, and federal employment requirements, as well as within best practices within the human resources profession.
    • Effect change, develop processes, and influence others in the company to ensure OMNI’s employee benefit consulting function is effective, efficient and exceeds client expectations.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated competency and expertise related to benefits management and administration and related employment centric technologies.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and exposure to various areas of personnel administration, including disability coverage, ACA guidelines, HIPAA regulations, ERISA, 401K and related local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
    • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high capacity for influence among senior level executives and other such persons of influence.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
