OMNI is honored to be retained by CertTech, LLC in their search for a Software Test Automation Engineer to support their Kansas City operations. CertTech is a premier provider of test automation services, test systems and product solutions for global companies in highly regulated industries with an emphasis on military/aerospace, transportation and commercial avionics applications. This position is based in Lenexa, KS.

The Software Automation Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and integration of software and systems in a team environment. Responsible for preparation of deliverables such as planning documents, requirements documents, design documents, system designs, software designs and source code, review records and other responsibilities as directed by management.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Professional interaction with clients/partners
  • Designing, developing and maintaining software test and continuous integration systems
  • Status reporting
  • Troubleshooting system level software and software interfaces
  • Supporting new business development activities


Skills include: 

  • Excellent technical communication skills
  • Solid client interaction skills
  • Software test automation and test script development
  • C/C++/C#, VB/VB.NET, Object-Oriented Programming
  • National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW programming
    • National Instruments certification (CTD, CTA, CLD, CLA) a plus

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • C# application development and maintenance on Microsoft Windows with Windows Forms experience
  • Multi-threaded application development and troubleshooting
  • Multi-process application troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read and understand large requirements specifications and apply them to textual test descriptions and test scripts
  • Experience with software releases and configuration control
    • National Instruments TestStand Deployments a plus
  • Basic understanding of software unit testing frameworks
    • Python testing framework a plus

Requirements include:

  • College Degree: Physics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related field is required
  • United States citizenship is required
  • Current security clearance a plus; the willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance is also desirable
