OMNI is honored to be retained by Genuen in their search for an RF Test Automation Engineer to support their Kansas City operations. This role is open to all levels of test engineering professionals in the Radio Frequency (RF) discipline. Genuen is a premier provider of test automation services, test systems and product solutions for global companies in highly regulated industries with an emphasis on military/aerospace, transportation and commercial avionics applications. This position is based in the Kansas City metro area.

Responsibilities

The RF Test Automation Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, and systems in a team environment. Responsible for preparation of deliverables such as planning documents, requirements documents, design documents, system designs/drawings, software designs and source code, hardware designs/drawings, review records, calibration and alignment procedures, measurement accuracy statements, reports, and other responsibilities as directed by management.

  • Professional interaction with clients/partners
  • Designing, developing and maintaining test and data acquisition/control systems
  • Status reporting
  • Troubleshooting system level software, hardware, wiring, and interfaces
  • Supporting new business development activities

  • Excellent technical communication skills

  • Quickly adaptable to new technologies
  • Developing complex waveforms using Software Defined Radio (SDR) instrumentation
  • Test automation using standard RF Instrumentation
    • Signal Analyzers
    • Signal Generators
    • Network Analyzers
    • Power Meters
  • RF applications in the aerospace, defense, and transportation industry
    • Airborne Communications, Navigation and Surveillance
    • Satellite and Launch Vehicle Telemetry
    • Electronic Warfare
    • Autonomous Vehicle Sensors
  • Test automation development and scripting technologies
    • National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
    • Keysight PathWave
    • C/C++/C#, .NET
  • Experience with PXle/AXle, Data Acquisition, Virtual Instrumentation
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of verification and validation
  • College Degree: Physics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related field is required
  • United States citizenship is required
