OMNI is honored to be retained by Kansas City-based Brunson Instrument Company in their search for an Enterprise Quality Manager.  This position is responsible for overseeing the operation of the quality management system and for ensuring ISO certification within the facility, including policy and procedure development, staff training, and conducting audits and investigations.  Brunson seeks an experienced quality management professional to build upon their existing program and provide hand-on leadership in all aspects related to quality, ultimately driving excellence in business processes and customer satisfaction.

  • Develops and reviews policies and procedures ensuring quality concerns and issues are identified and controlled
  • Conducts and/or directs risk assessments, audits, inspections; develops and executes appropriate action plans to address non-conformances, and other corrective and preventative actions
  • Leads training for all employees to maintain QMS standards, including developing and maintaining training matrixes and working with managers and supervisors to provide accountability
  • Manages external QMS relationships and acts as a liaison with external auditors to ensure continual registration with ISO 9000
  • Develops quality goals and strategies, and leads data collection efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS on a regular basis
  • Assists Sales and Engineering to review specifications, product development, and reliability of product to ensure quality industry standards are met and customer satisfaction is maintained


  • 5-7 years of experience in quality management or a related field
  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in quality management or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated success as a leader in quality management, including an in-depth understanding of quality control systems and a thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (specifically ISO 9001:2015)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically CNC machining and assembly
  • Strong understanding of calibration, proficiency with precision measuring tools, and the ability to read blueprints
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success working in a team environment and across a variety of personnel levels within the organization, customers, and suppliers
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong internal motivation and drive; history of demonstrating initiative
