Genuen is seeking an experienced technical Business Development Manager to fulfill strategic business growth targets. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving the creation, progression, and successful closure of nation-wide new business opportunities and transforming them into tangible purchase orders.

 

Genuen is a premier provider of test automation services, test systems and product solutions for global companies in highly regulated industries with an emphasis in military/aerospace, transportation, and commercial avionics. Genuen is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company based in Lenexa, KS with offices in Albuquerque, NM and Saginaw, MI. This position is REMOTE with frequent travel. 

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the following.

  • Maintain and enhance working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identify potential new sales opportunities.
  • Recognize prospects and set appointments to make effective qualifying sales calls.
  • Engage in continuous learning regarding new products and applications for services.
  • Act as point of contact for client meetings and inquiries including addressing and resolving any concerns in the process.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Review and participate in market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate client needs.
  • Participate in events and conferences on behalf of Genuen to enhance sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales.
  • Experience in one or more safety critical industries, including aerospace, energy, automotive or automation with engineering knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling for large systems.
  • Possess interest and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Proven team player capable of handling multiple assignments, with strong client focus, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Frequent travel (50-60%) required to client sites.
