OMNI is honored to have been retained by CR3 Partners in their search for an Assistant Controller to be accountable for the efficient and successful operation of the financial and business operations of the firm. Financial and business operation functions include accounting, banking, billing, human resources, compliance, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Director, this position will:

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting systems including client billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Accountable and responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, annual budgets, monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports in cooperation with Director Administration for reporting to Firm Leadership.
  • Build and lead a high-performing billing team by coaching, guiding, and providing development opportunities for billing and accounting staff.
  • Analyze and prepare weekly dashboard for the firm and partnership.
  • Responsible for comprehensive systems that provide business observations and insights to improve operation and financial success.
  • Build strong banking relationships that ensure the compliant financial operations.
  • Prepare and file quarterly tax reports in coordination with company’s CPA firm.
  • Ensure the firm’s overall compliance with federal and state requirements including annual reports, and Department of Revenue reports in approximately 15 states.
  • Assure all invoicing and commissions occur within designated timeframe.
  • Analyze financials and provide monthly reports regarding metrics to leadership.
  • Serve as primary contact for credit card companies, payable vendors and other external contacts.
  • Coordinate processing employee expense checks and ensure eligible expenses are reimbursed by clients.
  • Serve as primary contact for 401(k) and Benefits Administration vendors and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting and finance with project accounting  experience preferred.
  • Ability to work multi-task in a fast pace environment with highly skilled consultants.
  • Ability to provide leadership & support the company’s development and implementation of business strategies, plans, policies, and services.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships, trust and strategic partnerships with all clients and potential clients. 
  • Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrate exceptional internal customer service, high degree of tact, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including development of professional correspondence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with accounting systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Experience with Sage Intaact a plus.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict, promote change and growth and inspire high standards of performance.
  • Persistence, flexibility, and ability to find joy in demanding work.
  • Dependability and team spirit.
