OMNI is privileged to collaborate with our esteemed client as they search for their next Chief Financial Officer. They are in pursuit of a seasoned financial professional to complement their team of industry experts within the realms of engineering and manufacturing. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the CFO will be responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities of the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, hands-on, and operationally business savvy, solid process improvement skills, confident, and capable of strategic thinkingThey possess extensive knowledge of accounting and finance, with strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulations, maintaining accurate financial records.  
  • Manage month-end closing and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management analysis.  
  • Maintain access controls for accounting systems, safeguarding confidential information.  
  • Coordinate with ERP group for accurate transaction recording and troubleshooting.  
  • Manage cost accounting system, ensuring accuracy of product standards.  
  • Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billings functions.  
  • Support project analysis and variance reporting.  
  • Manage annual financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance.  
  • Recommend performance benchmarks and produce annual budgets and forecasts. Implement processes to control manufacturing costs and monitor profitability.  
  • Drive efficiency and accuracy in financial planning and forecasting.  
  • Develop policies, processes, and systems to support organizational growth.  
  • Support commercial growth initiatives and evaluate contract negotiations.  
  • Partner with Operations team to improve manufacturing efficiency and inventory management. 
  • Lead FP&A, including financial planning, forecasting, and P&L analysis.  
  • Develop multi-year financial models for strategic planning.  
  • Ensure timely monthly close and accurate internal financial reporting.  
  • Provide financial recommendations to management for decision-making.  
  • Manage Annual Profit Plan, Cash Management, and Strategic Planning processes. 
  • Oversee treasury, banking relationships, and capital spending budget. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other analytical area of study. MBA strongly preferred. CPA / CMA a plus. 
  • 10+ years CFO / Controller experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. 
  • Prior senior experience in FP&A and accounting at an industrial manufacturing company is desired. 
  • Recent experience with Epicor, Dynamics, or other integrated ERP system. 
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting tools such as PowerBI. 
  • Strong Accounting skills to include treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R and credit. 
  • Experience with ESOP company would be great, but not a key qualification. 
  • Proven supervisory skills with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. 

 

Benefits:

  • Flexible/Hybrid work schedule, 3-4 days in office. 
  • Compensation range for this position is $175-$225K base with 30% annual performance incentive.
