OMNI is honored to be retained by our confidential client in the search for a Senior Vice President, Human Resources to oversee the comprehensive HR functions of this high-growth, multi-site organization. Our client seeks a dynamic and strategic leader who will be crucial in shaping organizational culture, fostering employee development, and ensuring the HR practices align with the organization’s business objectives. This role is based in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President, Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role leads a team of 17 and is responsible for providing insights and recommendations on people-related issues and driving initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies in the areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, EEO/affirmative action, development and training, and employee compensation and benefits.
  • Oversee employee training and development, workforce planning, organizational development, and performance management with a focus on customer service.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages continuous improvement, innovation, and employee engagement.
  • Lead change management efforts to support the company’s growth and transformation.
  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the company’s goals and attract top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and keep management informed of changing employment legislation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10-15 years’ progressive HR experience with demonstrated success in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi-unit, high-growth, acquisition focused organization with 1000+ employees.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies that drive business results in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including expertise with California state laws.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving and execution.
  • Reputation for high level of professionalism, discretion, adaptability, critical thinking, approachable, supportive, and displays high level of integrity.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
