Overview

Kids TLC

The Trellis Center at KidsTLC is GROWING in 2025 and looking for an energetic, playful and professional candidate for their pediatric Occupational Therapy position. KidsTLC Occupational Therapists (OTs) are responsible for assessing children ages 18 months to 18 years of age in an outpatient and clinic-based setting. Treatment is focused on collaboration with the child’s parents/guardians and KidsTLC treatment team, identifying individualized goals to help clients participate to their fullest potential and be an active treatment team member on behalf of the client.

 

The desired start date for this position is January 6,2025.

Responsibilities

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for conducting initial and ongoing assessments, the development of treatment plans and goals and providing direct treatment in both a one on one and group setting.
  • Monitors client progress and provides written reports of progress along with actively participating in staff training and team meetings as appropriate.
  • Adhere to program-wide clinical and operational protocols relative to position to maintain consistency across integrated lines of service.
  • Demonstrate professional and accurate information when corresponding with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of ASD, alternative and augmentative. communication devices and application of current research relative to caseload.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor.
  • Manage caseload, credentialing, and licensing.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school for occupational therapy.
  • Must have appropriate state licensure (Kansas; Missouri-preferred not required).
  • Must have experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or relative developmental disabilities.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience working with children in an educational or clinical environment.
  • Able to respond to crisis and conflict with confidence and professionalism.
  • Active in-network status with various private insurance panels is preferred.
