ExplorUS is a family-owned company with nearly 30 years of experience operating National, State, and local park concessions. Over the years we have worked to enhance, elevate, and complement the visitor’s experience at each park, landmark, and property we operate. We’re seeking a Vice President of Food and Beverage to effectively lead and manage the strategic direction, development and execution of all food and beverage operations across multiple locations ensuring that all guest and client expectations are met or exceeded. This newly created role will be an important aspect of our fast-growing organization with lots of growth potential. Reporting to the COO, this role must reside and be based out of our Overland Park, KS corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive food and beverage strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of business plans for all restaurants and food and beverage outlets.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards and quality across all locations.
  • Collaborate with F&B leadership team to monitor and evaluate the performance of food and beverage operations including labor management.
  • Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
  • In collaboration with executive leadership, develop and manage budgets for all food and beverage operations and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement effective cost-control measures without compromising quality.
  • Ensure that the recruitment, training and development for F&B leaders is focused on quality outcomes.
  • Implement initiatives to ensure exceptional guest dining experiences in addition to quality employee dining experiences with onsite employee dining rooms.
  • Monitor and oversee vendor performance to maximize results related to favorable contract terms and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in food and beverage management with at least 5 years in a multi-unit leadership role.
  • Possess strong leadership and managerial skills that include coaching, developing and clearly communicating expectations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions.
  • Financial background with proven ability in identify opportunities for revenue and fiscal management.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to travel 25 - 30% of the time, primarily within busy seasons (Spring, Summer and Fall).
