LACIE

 

The Lewis and Clark Information Exchange (LACIE) a 501(c)(3) organization has been exchanging data since September of 2010, the first Health Information Exchange (HIE) to go live in Kansas or Missouri. LACIE was initially formed by Heartland Health in Saint Joseph, MO, now MOSAIC, and was given to the Greater Kansas City Community and the State of Kansas in 2013. LACIE provides patient information to prominent healthcare systems and providers across the Midwest. LACIE is committed to enhancing patient safety by eliminating obsolete, paper-based medical records, and combining patient data into a single, widely available digital record.

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator and Trainer will partner with LACIE’s participants to provide technical training and support, as well as support organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Project Manager on various organizational projects.
  • Provide support to participants and their platform needs.
  • Perform role of support liaison between participants and Technology Vendor ensuring issues are resolved and communicated to participant.
  • Ensure appropriate agreement documents are delivered and signed by participants.
  • Keep participants informed on upcoming project timelines, key dates, and deliverables.
  • Communicate with participants to understand pain points and opportunities for improvement of the platform.
  • Understand existing projects and identify participants that will make the best partner in each project.
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs aligned with LACIE’s goals and strategies.
  • Develop and oversee training initiatives, including onboarding and technical skills.
  • Work with the Director of Partnerships to understand training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure a smooth and rewarding experience.
  • Use participant feedback, performance data, and other metrics to continuously improve training programs.
  • Deliver or oversee the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate learning methodologies (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led, blended learning).
  • Monitor and guide the effectiveness of training sessions, ensuring high-quality content and engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Evaluate and manage external training vendors, consultants, and partnerships.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in training, sales, program management and/or customer service.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for healthcare technology and its transformative potential.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to connect with people.
