Three Dog Brands, LLC is on a mission to help pet parents unleash their unconditional love for their dog with deliciously irresistible people-inspired dog treats across two premium treat brands; Three Dog Bakery® (biscuits and cookies dog treats), and Chip’s Naturals (dehydrated savory high protein dog treats.) 

 

Three Dog Bakery’s portfolio of drool-worthy treats worthy of the word “treat,” such as Lick’n Crunch!® and Assort“Mutt”® Trio, can be found nationwide in the treat aisles of pet stores (e.g. PetSmart), grocery markets (e.g. Kroger, Publix), mass retailers (e.g. Walmart, Target) and select online retailers (e.g. Amazon, Chewy.)

 

We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager who has a proven track record of driving a business, is passionate about building brands and has an unquenchable curiosity for dogs and their pet parents.  They must be driven, organized and analytical brand marketers on a quest to build a better consumer brand experience.  This role requires strong experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) marketing and a deep understanding of pet parents and their fur babies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in CPG brand management, the ability to translate consumer insights into actionable strategies, and thrives in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer (CMO), this role will support the long-term strategic plan and the more immediate annual marketing execution that will push Three Dog Bakery into the forefront of dog lovers everywhere. 

 

Brand & Business Strategy

  • Develop and lead the portfolio strategy and execution, internally and externally, to achieve financial and strategic company goals through a robust annual planning process and marketing plans with set milestones and metrics.
  • Craft and execute the annual marketing plan and budget to drive brand growth and market share.
  • Lead all aspects of brand strategy, including positioning, advertising, promotions, and packaging.
  • Execute 360-degree marketing launches for new products across brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels.
  • Manage marketing campaigns across retail, digital, and trade channels, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Responsible for managing the P&L and ongoing marketing budget management.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring financial discipline and ROI-driven decision-making.

 

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Lead consumer research and competitive analysis, providing key insights that drive strategy and decision-making.
  • Develop quarterly consumer insights reports to identify long-term growth trend opportunities and competitive assessments.
  • Stay ahead of pet industry trends, ensuring Three Dog Brands remains a category leader.
  • Manage consumer testing including new product concepts research, shopper studies, and iHut’s.

 

New Product Development & Innovation

  • Develop strong product positioning, packaging, and go-to-market strategies with the Innovation Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Steward a strong product and marketing launch for new products across all retailers.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with Digital Marketing Specialist on strategies across all social platforms and website.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support retailer-specific marketing efforts across Mass, Grocery, Club, and eCommerce.
  • Lead agency partnerships and external vendors to execute best-in-class creative and media campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Brand Management: 5+ years of brand management experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), preferably in food, pet, or adjacent categories with a strong record of business growth and achievement.
  • Category Experience: Proven success launching and managing CPG brands, with experience in mass, grocery, and eCommerce channels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills – able to translate consumer insights into business opportunities.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment (PE-backed or high-growth brands a plus).
  • Expertise in go-to-market strategy, including product positioning, shopper marketing, and retailer collaboration.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners on tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on, result-driven approach.
