Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Experienced Bookkeeper to support the financial health of their organization and their clients. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities.

 

Working in a hybrid environment from their Kansas City North office, you’ll manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, handle expense account processing, oversee banking activities, and generate financial reports that help leadership make strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Accurately receive and record payables, manage approval workflows, and ensure appropriate expense coding.
  • Ensure timely processing of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile billable expenses with invoicing, collaborating closely with the Controller.

Banking & Reconciliation

  • Download and post credit card transactions on a weekly basis.
  • Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts monthly.
  • Post biweekly payroll to QuickBooks and process 401(k) contributions.

Invoicing & Reporting

  • Compile and distribute monthly client invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Post invoices to QuickBooks and reconcile with Function Point.
  • Maintain invoicing and payments for Association Management clients.
  • Generate monthly management reports for review by the Controller.

Administrative & Compliance

  • Maintain employee records in the 401(k)/Employee Stock Option Program platform.
  • Manage compliance with state and local reporting requirements.
  • Maintain Rate Cards and cost-per-hour data in the project management system.
  • Organize and manage company paper files in accordance with retention policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant bookkeeping or financial administration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.

Benefits Offered:                                                          

This position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $72,000 annually. Additionally, employees enjoy a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, participation in an Employee Stock Option Plan, and career growth.
