At Moyes Eye Center, our mission is simple: to be a premier eye care center in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest. Our practice provides exceptional service, from experienced doctors and staff using proven technology. As a referral-based specialty care practice with 125 employees, our focus is on providing care for cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, LASIK, or other eye conditions. With advanced technology and a highly experienced team of ten doctors, our patients’ vision is our top priority. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our administrative team.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and decision-making processes for the practice. This individual will be responsible for creating and running reports, analyzing performance trends, coordinating credentialing activities, and managing contracts.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting / Month-End
    • Produces monthly productivity report to provide to outsourced accounting firm.
    • Ensures data integrity and accuracy in financial reports by performing reconciliations and validation checks.
    • Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to align financial reporting with operational needs.
    • Assists in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing data-driven insights.
    • Creating and running ad hoc reports as needed.
    • Identifies and visualizes key metrics to improve practice efficiency and profitability.
    • Automates report generation to ensure timely updates and reduce manual workload where possible.
  2. Credentialing
    • Acts as internal point person for all doctors to ensure all credentialing needs are maintained and current.
    • Serves as liaison with outsourced credentialing team.
  3. Contract management
    • Ensures all contracts are gathered and maintained in a central location.
    • Assists Accounts Receivable in maintaining payer contracts.
    • Tracks and updates payor contracts to ensure compliance and competitive positioning.
    • Supports contract negotiations by providing relevant financial and utilization data.
  4. Other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience working with financial reporting and business analysis in a medical practice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, data analysis, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft applications. Experience with NextGen Practice Management Software preferred.
  • Team oriented.
  • Ability to work in Kansas City practice location 5 days per week.
