OMNI has recently partnered with our client, who is making a large social impact nationwide, in their search for a Bookkeeper to join their team. This hybrid role will oversee the daily accounting functions for multiple entities and assist with the larger overall picture for the company. Based out of their Kansas City, Missouri office, this opportunity is available due to growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will:

  • Maintain accounting responsibilities including general ledger, account receivables, bank deposits, internal financial statements and monthly close processes.
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients as deliverables are completed.
  • Monitor accounts and strictly follow all internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets.
  • Create and send monthly statements of outstanding clients’ balances.
  • Assist the CFO in the annual budgeting process for multiple departments and business units.
  • Continue to trace and update budgets on a monthly basis.
  • Track expenses for third-party vendors.
  • Provide bookkeeping for multiple New Markets Tax Credit projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience providing day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, including effective time management, multi-tasking, organization, and effective collaboration with multiple parties.
  • Good math skills with an excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Technical proficiency using Microsoft Office and experience using accounting software. 


Benefits Offered: 
This position offers a salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually. In addition, our client provides a generous benefits package promoting work-life balance and flexibility. This includes health insurance, substantial 401k contribution, a PTO bonus incentive, fertility and adoption contribution and on-site daycare.
