Genuen is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support their Albuquerque, NM operations. This is a full-time, direct hire position.  Genuen is a premier provider of test automation services, test systems and product solutions for global companies in highly regulated industries with an emphasis in military/aerospace, transportation, and commercial avionics. Genuen is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company based in Lenexa, KS with offices in Albuquerque, NM and Saginaw, MI.  This position is on-site in Albuquerque, NM.

The Systems Engineer will be a technical lead and technical contact for customers. As a technical lead, this position will assist in defining the project’s schedule, budget, system requirements, conceptual designs, and resource plan. 

• Work as Technical Lead and primary contact for the client and technical leader of a multidiscipline project team.
• Review work products, provide design feedback and help to mitigate technical challenges.
• Prepare and install planning/requirement/test/certification solutions in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Engage in client project initiatives that involve the development and delivery of turn-key hardware and software deliverables.
• Provide advice on project costs, design concepts and design changes.
• Ensure projects use appropriate hardware/software/system architectures.
• Prepare deliverables such as planning documents, requirements documents, design documents, review documents, test strategy, test scripts, and reports.
• Ensure appropriate metrics and performance goals are in place to measure and communicate progress.
• Identify Intellectual Property (IP) created for projects suitable for company reuse libraries and future product development.
• Work as a development engineer within the project.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer/electrical engineering or another related field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience and 3+ years leading projects.
• Experience developing and integrating software into complex systems for mission-critical applications.
• Experience leading system integration and test activities.
• Experience in a safety critical regulated industry is a plus.
• Prior experience cultivating and leading others to grow with respect to their technical abilities.
• Successful history of owning and executing task responsibility.
• Occasional travel as needed.
• United States citizenship is required.
• Active DoD Top Secret or DOE “Q” security clearance required.
