CTA is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to join their vibrant team of professionals to support their Research and Development (R&D) practice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing expert advice and tailored tax solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum three years or more of solid work experience performing R&D Tax Credit Studies.
  • Achieve client satisfaction through exceptional service and quality, and defendable work products.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state tax credits, including Research & Development (R&D) credits.
  • Manage client and co-worker expectations effectively.
  • Assist and follow the direction of Tax Managers while indirectly managing internal partners / tax consultants in leading the completion of study analysis, calculations, and tax form preparation for client projects.
  • Work with federal and state tax forms for the R&D credit.
  • Review and analyze client financial data, contracts, and other relevant documents through extensive Excel spreadsheets.
  • Review and sign off on tax consultants written technical narratives related to project findings and reviews.
  • Lead the conducting and documentation of client R&D studies.
  • Manage audit support documentation through an assigned audit engagement team.
  • Complete assigned training and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA, IRS Enrolled Agent or relevant experience working in tax return preparation desired.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting business tax returns and personal tax returns.
  • Demonstrated excellence in time management by effectively prioritizing and managing multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with employees at all levels in an organization, especially the C-suite executive teams of the CTA client base.
  • Highly organized with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead projects to completion through indirectly managing other team members as part of the collaborative team that is both in person/in office and in remote office settings.

  • Competitive annual base salary, starting at $82,000
